The Jelly Strips Purse-O-Nality pattern is by talented designer Linda Rauld and has complete instructions for a roomy tote, a cosmetic bag, an eyeglass case, and a cell phone/I-pod carrier. This is an easy to make bag that uses 2 1/2" fabric strips ("Jelly rolls") but you can use regular fabric is you wish. Finished size is 13 1/2" x 10" x 4".
Materials Needed:
- IF USING JELLY STRIP FABRIC:
- 11 jelly strips at 2 1/2" x 44"
- 1 yd lining
- 1/4 yd for tote's handles
- 1/4 yd fusible fleece (44" wide) for handles
- 1 yd fleece/batting (44" wide)
- 1 yd heavywieght interfacing (22" wide)
- 1 decorative button for closure
- IF USING SINGLE EXTERIOR FABRIC:
- 1 1/2 yd fabric for exterior body, lining, etc.
- 1/4 yd fusible fleece for handles
- 1 yd fleece/batting
- 1 yd heavyweight interfacing
- OPTIONAL - removable purse bottom 9" x 3 1/2"
- ACCESSORIES: Cosmetic bag, eyeglass case, and cell phone/I-Pod carrier -
- Remnants of materials from tote construction
- 1 - 7" zipper (cosmetic bag)
- 2 - D rings (cell phone carrier)
- 1 - swivel hook (cell phone carrier)
